Our Team in Branson
Amanda McGinty, DVM Owner and Veterinarian
Dr. Amanda grew up on the Outer Banks of North Carolina and has wanted to be a veterinarian since she could talk and her family has always supported her dream. As a teenager she moved to the countryside of southeast Virginia on a small hobby farm where she discovered a passion for horse-back riding. She attended St. Andrews University where she showed on the Intercollegiate Horse Show Team and played lacrosse. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry with a concentration in pre-veterinary studies. She attended veterinary school at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine on the island of St. Kitts in the British West Indies. During her time in vet school Dr. Amanda was selected for externships in South Africa at Krugar National Park shadowing a wild game veterinarian and in Kildare Ireland at a thoroughbred race horse veterinary facility. After her travels were over Dr. Amanda completed her clinical year of veterinary school at Oklahoma State University and graduated in 2010.
After working as an associate veterinarian at three different clinics in various parts of the state, she has now designed a clinic that will bring affordable quality care to people in the Branson area as well as provide the much-needed care and assistance to the local rescues Dr. Amanda and her husband decided to start Shepherd of the Hills Veterinary Clinic because they have a vision to transform the standard of care to a more transparent and affordable nature without sacrificing the quality and compassion. She and her family live on a small hobby farm with 3 horses, 2 dogs, 2 cats and a guinea pig. In her spare time Amanda enjoys horseback riding specifically hunter/jumper, dressage and mounted archery. As a family they enjoy camping, floating, hiking and traveling as well as snuggles on the couch with a good movie.

Breanna Client Service Representative
I was born and raised here in Branson and graduated from Branson schools. Love being in a small town and see it grow. I grew up on a couple acres with lots of animals and love being around them and taking care of them. I have 2 beautiful kids a boy and a girl who has the same passion as me for animals. We have a dog and cat. I have worked in the customer service industry all my adulthood but never had a strong passion for it, so switched to the vet field and best choice I ever made.
Holly Head Technician
Holly has always had a passion for animals--from insects and reptiles, to farm animals and common pets! She attended Blue Eye School from preschool to senior year, all while living in the same house that her mother still lives in today. She currently has 2 American Bulldogs, Angel and Dixie Rose, and a pot-bellied pig named Petunia. She hopes to further her career in the veterinary field while working at Shepherd of the Hills Veterinary Clinic.
Jessica Veterinary Technician
I was born in Bolivar, MO. When I was little my family moved to Willard, MO and that’s where I went to school and graduated from. I went to college at OTC and got my Business Associates. I knew I had a love for animals, so I switched gears and got jobs within the horse industry. I then migrated to the Branson area. I ended up getting a job at Dolly Parton’s Stampede as a performer and working there for 2 years. I have tons of animals including 2 horses, 4 dogs, 4 ferrets, a snake, a leopard gecko, a chameleon, 2 goats, and lots of farm birds. I have a passion for animals and decided to make a career change and went into the vet field. I enjoy helping animals and people, so I plan to grow as a technician at Shepherd of the Hills Vet Clinic!
Samantha Veterinary Technician
Samantha was born and raised in The Ozarks before moving to Florida and Texas in her adult years, but nothing compared to home. Growing up Samantha spent her free time either at her mothers grooming shop or in the kennel working with her father training dogs for confirmation showing, so its no surprise she has chosen to work in the vet field. She previously worked as a Vet Tech in Springfield before taking a 7 year break to explore other opportunities, but came back to what she loved. Samantha is a mother of two and a grandmother of two, who enjoys showing and racing Pigeons in her free time.
