Perform eye and retina scan, external ear check and otoscopic exam of the ear canals. Examination of the mouth, gums, gingiva, teeth, tongue and throat. Perform a lymph node palpation. Our spay/neuter packages are provided as a service to the community to help alleviate the pet overpopulation problem, and to be sure all pet owners have access to an affordable spay and neuter option. These packages are designed to provide a significant value as compared to the cost of other surgeries. This page has been prepared to ensure participants understand how the program works and what is included so there are no misunderstandings.
We are a full service for-profit animal hospital. Our hospital does not receive any grants or outside financing to perform these procedures at these low fees. We use very high quality surgery and anesthesia protocols to ensure the best outcomes. Unlike non-profit spay neuter clinics we can provide a wider range of services that your pet may need and we are available for follow up care for your pet.
- All surgeries REQUIRE an up to date rabies vaccine. If your pet does not have an up to date rabies vaccine we can and must provide one at the surgery appointment.
- All Standard Surgery packages include
-
- Physical Exam
- IV catheter
- Pre-medication with pain and anxiety meds
- Injectable pain medication
- Local anesthetic for intraoperative pain control
- Pain medication to go home
- Toe nail trim
- IV fluids
- Anesthetic monitoring (ECG, indirect blood pressure, pulse oximetry and capnography)
- Tattoo near incision
- E. Collar to go home to prevent licking and chewing of the surgical incision
- Exception is feline neuters which do not receive IV catheter, IV fluids or anesthetic monitoring.
- VIP packages include everything a standard surgery package does in addition to bloodwork AND microchip. (If pet is already microchipped OR the pet has had bloodwork performed within the last 6 months that was normal then the price may be reduced to reflect those services being waived.)
- Spay/Neuter packages are designed for young, healthy pets with no underlying illness only.
